about
I was a kid growing up in the 1960's. My grandfather - at the time a photographer (and police officer) for the Newark, New Jersey police department, taught me how to take pictures, process film, print photographs, as well as operate our "Kodak Brownie" 8mm movie camera.
I was the photo editor of our high school newspaper. My dad helped build a photographic darkroom in the basement of our New Jersey home, and I became the official photographer and filmmaker in the family. If you didn't find me in the darkroom (of course with all my homework completed), I was busy gathering neighborhood friends to create movies.
In college, I had the chance to write and produce a television program - a parody of a game show with two commercials - this was an idea of mine since high school, and the opportunity presented itself at college. My professor invited all his classes in to view the show - over 100 people. The grand prize of this mock game show was in fact, my professor, and he was in for a surprise as his involvement as the "prize" was potentially embarrassing. I knew I was either going to get an "A" for the program or piss him off and fail miserably. Thankfully, he loved it.
I bought my first camcorder in 1987, and in 1988 I videotaped a friend's wedding. He and his family loved the video, and as they say, the rest is history. With over 30 years of professional videography experience, my goal is to create video recordings that you will love for years to come. We believe recordings should reflect who YOU are. We create videos with "personality", not just splashy effects. When creating a keepsake, this is the "extra" that makes it unique and priceless. You work directly with me, the owner.
